welcome to a new look
...for
gig guides, audio, video,
photos and news about the local bands, and north east rock music
scene...
please read!
the new site uses 'frames' but if your browser doesn't support
them, you should be re-directed!
(let me know if there are any problems!!!)
... the site really just started by chance a while back, with me, Davy P, just wanting to know how this whole web thing worked and basically just use it as a gig guide for myself, but it seemed to somehow take off, and the feedback i get from you lot out there, makes the whole thing still seem worth doing...(or tell me otherwise!!!)...
...well, it's been nearly four years now, that the site's been running, so i thought it might be time for a fresh layout, and try and get the whole thing back in to some kind of order as we head towards 2005...
...so it's time to get rid of some of the old photos, out dated pages, and the odd files that have been cluttering up most of my allotted share of broadband web space, and time to put some new pictures, some of the older, but best short videos on to a new (slower uploading - but free!) web host, and organise the whole lot a bit better...which will hopefully allow for a few new full video and mp3 downloads i've got hold of, to go on the broadband space...
...the gig guides will continue to be updated daily (usually or/and as the gigs come in!) and as a lot of you who know me, I like to get out and about watching the local bands every week, and the only way that you get to know what events are happening, is if the bands and venues advertise their gigs...so send them in!...(and all you punters out there who don't play in a band or run a venue, send in your locals gigs), as there's nothing worse that an empty venue when a good band are playing...
...any news, views or maybe reviews, you have about the local rock scene are most welcome...please send them in...or use the message board to start a discussion, and there's also a guestbook...to leave your thoughts and comments about the site!!!...
...time allowing, hoping to get a lot more photos up of the latest gigs we attend (so bands - get posing when you see Kimberley snapping away!), and like i say, put more downloads in video and mp3 format which will hopefully change weekly...
...if there's anything else you think is worth trying on the site, or if any of the links or pages don't work, or if you don't like the new layout...please let me know...
...thanks for looking in, and remember...
...KEEP LOCAL MUSIC ALIVE...USE IT OR LOSE IT!!!
Cheers, DavyP.
